Health initiative Abroad was founded in August of 2008 by 12 members of the Catholic High class of 2008. These 12 founding members had all grown to appreciate Catholic High's teachings of service to others. Those teachings laid the ground work for establishing HIA.
HIA currently operates as a growing non-profit organization, dedicated to making a difference in people's lives through healthy and sustainable communities.
